This OE Match fuel pump gasket is a replacement sealing gasket for the fuel pump on early Porsche 911 models from 1965 to 1968 fitted with Solex carburettor engines. It is designed to match the original-style fitment and helps provide a secure seal at the fuel pump mounting point.
Sold individually
Fits:
Porsche 911 1965 - 1968 (engines with SOLEX carburettor)
Diagram ref no: 3
The fuel pump gasket seals the joint between the fuel pump and its mounting surface. A good gasket helps prevent fuel seepage, air leaks, and contamination around the fuel pump area, supporting reliable fuel delivery and correct engine operation.
Functions
• Seals the fuel pump mounting joint
• Helps prevent fuel seepage around the pump area
• Supports correct fuel pump installation
• Helps maintain clean and reliable fuel system operation
• Replaces compressed, torn, brittle, or leaking original gaskets
• Suitable for fuel pump service, removal, or replacement
• OE Match replacement for classic Porsche fuel system repair.
Why Replace This Part?
Fuel pump gaskets can compress, harden, split, or deteriorate over time due to age, fuel exposure, heat, and repeated removal. A worn or damaged gasket may cause fuel seepage, odour, poor sealing, or contamination around the pump mounting area. Replacing the gasket during fuel pump service helps restore a clean, secure seal.
When to Replace This Part
• The fuel pump has been removed or replaced
• Fuel seepage or staining is visible around the pump mounting area
• The original gasket is torn, crushed, brittle, or missing
• Fuel odour is present near the pump area
• The fuel system is being serviced or restored
• The mounting surface is being cleaned or resealed
• Preventative replacement is being carried out during engine or fuel system maintenance.
Where it fits on the car
This gasket fits at the fuel pump mounting point on Porsche 911 models fitted with Solex carburettor engines. It sits between the fuel pump and the mating surface to create a reliable seal.

Fits:
Porsche 911 1974 - 1979 (2 pcs per car)
Porsche 911 Turbo 1975 - 1989 (3 pcs per car)
Diagram ref no 6
The rubber mount supports the fuel pump in its mounting position and helps absorb vibration generated by pump operation and vehicle movement. It keeps the pump correctly located, reduces noise, and helps protect the fuel pump and mounting bracket from excess stress.
Functions
• Secures the rear fuel pump to its mounting bracket
• Helps isolate fuel pump vibration from the body
• Reduces fuel pump noise and resonance
• Supports correct pump alignment and fitment
• Helps protect fuel lines and pump fittings from movement stress
• Replaces perished, cracked, loose, or missing original rubber mounts
• OE Match replacement for fuel system repair or restoration.
Why Replace This Part?
Rubber fuel pump mounts can harden, crack, split, collapse, or detach with age, fuel exposure, heat, and road vibration. A worn mount may allow the fuel pump to move, vibrate, or create extra noise, and can place stress on fuel lines and electrical connections. Replacing the mount helps restore secure fuel pump installation and quieter, more reliable operation.
When to Replace This Part
• The fuel pump mount is cracked, perished, split, or missing
• The fuel pump feels loose or moves on its bracket
• There is increased fuel pump noise or vibration
• The rear fuel pump or fuel lines are being replaced
• The mounting hardware has been removed during fuel system service
• Fuel pump alignment or bracket security needs to be restored
• The vehicle is undergoing classic Porsche fuel system restoration.
Where it fits on the car
This rubber mount fits at the rear fuel pump mounting point, securing the fuel pump to its bracket or body mounting area. It forms part of the fuel pump support assembly on Porsche 911 models using a rear-mounted fuel pump arrangement.

cars with Mechanical Fuel Injection (MFI)
The mechanical fuel injection (MFI) pump is mounted on its base at the top of the engine. For the RSR, Porsche determined that additional support was necessary to prevent the pump from rocking under the stresses of racing. To address this, we've precisely recreated the original MFI pump brace, along with a custom plug for the oil pressure warning light (commonly known as the "idiot light") switch, which must be used due to clearance interference with the brace.
Mounts to the MFI fuel pump body with included bracket.
Install this on a road car for better reliability of your MFI pump as it will not allow the pump to flex.

OEMatch Fuel Pumps — Fit, Function, Confidence
A fuel pump supplies pressurised fuel from the tank to the engine, maintaining the pressure and flow your Porsche needs for reliable starting, smooth idling and predictable throttle response. OEMatch selects pumps suited to Porsche models, from restoration projects to routine replacement tasks.
Available Types
- In-tank electric pumps and modules
- External mechanical and electric pumps
- Pump modules with integrated sender units
- High-flow units for specific performance applications
Understanding OEMatch Fuel Pumps
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are made by the same company that produced your Porsche’s original fuel pumps.
OE (Original Equipment) refers to parts matching original specifications for the fuel pumps and may be supplied by alternative manufacturers. Aftermarket parts offer alternative options, sometimes with enhanced features or better value. OEMatch supplies non-OEM fuel pumps engineered as direct-fit alternatives to OEM parts, made to original-spec dimensions and tolerances for Porsche models.
The pump moves fuel from the tank to the injectors at the pressure required by the engine management system. In many Porsche models the pump is mounted inside the tank as a sealed module, while other models use an external unit. Pumps depend on clean fuel and a stable electrical supply; some assemblies also include a sender or strainer. Choosing the correct type for the model and fuel system layout helps maintain consistent delivery and avoids premature wear.
Benefits Include
- Restores and maintains correct fuel pressure for stable combustion
- Improves starting reliability and throttle response
- Reduces risk of stalling and hesitation under load
Why Fuel Pumps Wear and Fail
- Contamination from dirt, rust or water in the tank
- Running low on fuel, causing overheating or cavitation
- Electrical faults such as intermittent power or corroded connections
- Clogged filters or blocked lines reducing flow and stressing the motor
The Importance of Replacing with OEMatch Fuel Pumps
Replacing a worn or failing pump restores the fuel pressure and flow the engine needs to run cleanly and responsively. Correct replacement helps prevent misfires, extended cranking and potential damage to injectors or fuel lines. OEMatch parts are chosen to suit Porsche systems and can support both routine maintenance and vehicle restoration efforts.
Advantages
- Direct-fit replacements engineered to match original dimensions and tolerances
- Corrosion-resistant materials and sealed assemblies for longer service life
- Options that match factory electrical and mounting interfaces for straightforward installation
Support & Advice
Fitting can appear straightforward but may require procedures such as correct torque settings and careful routing of hoses. If you lack the correct tools or model-specific knowledge, we recommend professional installation. Recheck fasteners and connections after initial running and observe for any diagnostic codes or fuel odours.
