Designed as a direct replacement, the speaker fits straight into the original mounting holes and retains the classic appearance of your dashboard while benefiting from modern internal components. Installation is quick and straightforward, requiring no dashboard or windscreen removal, making it an ideal upgrade for both restoration projects and regularly driven classic Porsche models.
Featuring a modern high-quality diaphragm, upgraded voice coil and powerful driver magnets, this speaker delivers crisp, balanced sound with a maximum output of 40 Watts, 4 Ohm impedance and a broad frequency response of 60Hz to 18,000Hz, providing a noticeable improvement over the ageing factory speaker.
Installation clips and fixing screws are supplied for a simple factory-style installation.
What Does the Central Dashboard Speaker Do?
The central dashboard speaker is the primary front speaker within the original Porsche audio system. It reproduces music, speech and radio broadcasts while maintaining balanced sound throughout the cabin.
Its primary functions include:
- Delivering clear front audio.
- Improving overall sound quality.
- Maintaining balanced cabin acoustics.
- Preserving the original dashboard appearance.
- Supporting factory radio systems.
- Enhancing the classic Porsche driving experience.
This upgraded OE Match speaker provides modern audio performance while remaining visually faithful to the original Blaupunkt unit.
Why Upgrade the Original Speaker?
After more than fifty years, many original Blaupunkt speakers suffer from deterioration that affects both sound quality and reliability.
Common issues include:
- Perished paper speaker cones.
- Weak or distorted audio.
- Cracked surrounds.
- Failing voice coils.
- Reduced volume.
- Corrosion caused by moisture.
- Heat-related ageing.
- General wear from decades of use.
This upgraded replacement retains the authentic factory
appearance while dramatically improving sound reproduction using modern speaker
technology.
Features and Benefits
When Should the Dashboard Speaker Be Replaced?
Replacement is recommended whenever:
- Audio quality becomes distorted.
- The original speaker no longer functions.
- Sound output is weak or intermittent.
- The speaker cone has deteriorated.
- Restoring the interior.
- Upgrading the factory audio system while maintaining originality.
- Returning a modified vehicle to factory appearance.
Replacing the original speaker restores crisp, clear sound while preserving the authentic character of your classic Porsche.

OE Match centre dashboard air vent nozzle designed as a replacement for the original factory air vent used in classic Porsche 911 models equipped with air conditioning. It replicates the original vent’s fitment, shape, and louvre function to deliver correct cabin airflow and OEM-style appearance.
The only difference is that this vent does not come with sliders / adjusters on the sides. You can position the louvres by hand though.
Fits:
Porsche 911 1975 - 1986
Porsche 930 Turbo
Porsche 912E
Diagram ref no 10.
This OE Match version is ideal for vehicles where the original centre vent has faded, cracked, failed to hold position, or has missing adjustment tabs - common issues on older cars due to age and sun exposure.
The centre dashboard air vent directs conditioned or ambient air from the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system into the cabin. It lets occupants adjust airflow direction and volume for comfort, defrosting, or ventilation purposes.
Function:
Installed at the centre of the dashboard, this OE Match vent:
• Channels air from the HVAC system into the cabin
• Allows directional adjustment of airflow
• Helps balance cabin temperature and comfort
• Complements original dashboard aesthetics
Centre air vent assemblies endure heat, sunlight, and repeated adjustment, which can cause them to become brittle, cracked, faded, or loose over time. A failing vent can disrupt airflow, reduce cabin comfort, and detract from the interior’s appearance. Replacing it with an OE Match unit restores proper airflow control, eliminates rattles or misalignment, and improves the visual continuity of the dashboard.
When to replace:
• Vent louvers are stuck, broken, or loose
• Dashboard airflow is restricted or misdirected
• Interior trim looks faded or mismatched
• During HVAC servicing or dashboard restoration
• Prior to resale or show preparation

Replacement dashboard heating/defroster vent trim on classic Porsche 911, 912 and 930 models (covering years 1969–1985). This trim piece fits into the dashboard under the windscreen and gives a finished, appearance while directing airflow from the heating/ventilation system into the cabin.
Fits:
Porsche 911/912 1969 - 1986
Porsche 911 Turbo 1975 - 1977
Diagram ref no 2 (Left) or 3 (Right)
• Position: Right-hand / Left-hand side dashboard heating/defroster vent trim, beneath the windscreen
• Typical Use: Replacement during interior restoration, dash refurbishing, or when original vent trim is cracked, broken or missing
The original dashboard vent trims are often made from materials that become brittle over time. They can crack or break easily under stress or vibration - leaving gaps in the ventilation system, reducing cabin airflow, and detracting from the interior’s appearance. A missing or damaged vent trim can also rattle or misalign, compromising both comfort and aesthetics. Installing an replacement restores proper airflow, secures the vent assembly, and brings the interior back to factory-correct condition.
When to replace. Consider replacing this trim when:
• The existing vent trim is cracked, broken, warped or missing
• You are restoring or refurbishing the interior of a vintage 911, 912 or 930
• You notice impaired airflow or vent misalignment from the dashboard vents
• The dash is being removed or serviced (e.g., re-painting, wiring, HVAC work) and trim pieces have been lost or damaged

Complete 4-piece aluminium trim frame set for dashboards of all Porsche 911 T, E and S models from 1969 – 1973. This is a high quality OEM specification reproduction made from extruded aluminium with polished and anodised edges, just like the original.
Most '69-'73 dashboard trim frames have carved, cut, bent or otherwise damaged edges, due to the softness of the aluminium from which they were made.
Our dashboard trim frames are made from high quality aluminium, extruded and milled to high precision. Unlike some others, edges on our frames are hardened before they are polished and anodised to a high shine. This guarantees factory authentic appearance and fit as well as better wear resistance. Our anodised OEM specification trim frames are a must to finish your 100-point restoration.
Installation requires no specific tools and can be completed in about 30 minutes. "Basketweave" or plain vinyl dashboard facings are not included but can be ordered separately.
Dashboard trim frames are available for both LHD and RHD cars

This version is specified without a top speaker grille, which is important when matching the correct interior layout.
Due to sun exposure most '77-'86 dashboards are warped around the instruments/vent areas and some even show cracks. We also find that the underlying dashboard cell foam has often disintegrated, metal frame has deformed (usually above the clocks and around the vent areas) and dashboard mounting screws are torn/rusted out. Dashboards in this state are beyond restoration. Our new dashboard is a must to finish your 100-point restoration.
Grain and gloss of the vinyl surface coat have been optimised to match the typical patina found on the door caps of '77-'86 models. All dashboards are quality assured on a jig to correct/control mounting points. We guarantee a factory authentic appearance and fit.
Installation requires no specific tools and is within the ability of a moderately experienced home mechanic. Please note that installation of the dashboard requires removal of the windshield. In some cases the bolts may not align 100% and new holes would be required to be drilled in the metal dash frame.

OEMatch Dashboard LHD (Restoration) — Fit, Finish, Comfort
The dashboard is the visual and functional centre of a Porsche cockpit for LHD restoration work. It locates instruments, vents and switchgear, conceals wiring and supports trim, so replacing a damaged dash helps restore appearance, usability and the correct mounting for gauges and vents in a finished restoration.
Understanding OEMatch Dashboard LHD (Restoration)
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are made by the same company that produced your Porsche’s original dashboard lhd (restoration).
OE (Original Equipment) refers to parts matching original specifications for the dashboard lhd (restoration) and may be supplied by alternative manufacturers. Aftermarket parts offer alternative options, sometimes with enhanced features or better value. OEMatch supplies non-OEM dashboard lhd (restoration) engineered as direct-fit alternatives to OEM parts, made to original-spec dimensions and tolerances for Porsche models.
A restoration-grade LHD dashboard must align with vents, instrument pods, switches and any airbag modules where fitted, conceal trim fixings and wiring looms, and provide the surface finish and mounting points required for accurate reassembly.
Benefits Include
- Restores interior appearance and the correct layout for instruments, vents and switchgear
- Replaces cracked, faded or delaminated surfaces to renew cabin aesthetics
- Re-establishes structural mounting to reduce noise and ensure secure attachment of trim and devices
Why Dashboard LHD (Restoration) Wear and Fail
- Gradual cracking and colour loss from UV exposure and repeated heat cycles
- Delamination or shrinkage as adhesives and laminates age
- Mechanical damage or weakened internal supports from previous repairs or long-term use
The Importance of Replacing with OEMatch Dashboard LHD (Restoration)
Replacing a worn or damaged dashboard restores the cockpit’s original proportions and supports reliable mounting for instruments and controls, which is important for both appearance and function in a restoration project. Correct fitment helps retain intended wiring routes and maintains compatibility with vents and switch assemblies, reducing the risk of rattles, poor sealing or interference with nearby components.
Advantages
- Direct-fit replacements engineered to match original dimensions and tolerances
- Materials selected to retain shape and finish under typical cabin conditions
- Designed to accept original gauges, vents and trim for straightforward reassembly
