Replacement card board type cover with fixing points
This OE Match luggage compartment dash cover is a direct replacement for the original Porsche front trunk trim panel fitted to 911 models from August 1968 through July 1975. Manufactured to factory specifications, it replicates the original cardboard-backed trim panel with integrated fixing points, ensuring correct fitment and authentic appearance.
Fits:
Porsche 911 08/1968 - 07/1975
LHD or RHD cars
Section of diagram ref no 32
Installed inside the front luggage compartment (front boot area), the panel covers the front bulkhead and heater/ventilation components, creating a clean and finished appearance while helping protect internal systems from debris and accidental contact. It also contributes to the original interior presentation of the luggage compartment.
Designed for both left-hand drive (LHD) and right-hand drive (RHD) vehicles, the panel is precision-cut to OE dimensions for straightforward installation using factory mounting points.
This component is ideal for restoration, refurbishment, or replacement of warped, damaged, or deteriorated original trunk trim panels in classic Porsche 911 models.
The luggage compartment dash cover conceals and protects the front bulkhead, ventilation, and heating components inside the front trunk area. It improves the appearance of the luggage compartment while helping shield internal systems from dirt and damage.
Function
• Covers front luggage compartment bulkhead area
• Protects ventilation and heating system components
• Restores factory-correct trunk appearance
• Helps reduce exposure to dirt and debris
• Provides clean and finished interior presentation
Original luggage compartment trim panels often deteriorate with age due to moisture, heat, and repeated handling. Warped or damaged panels can leave internal components exposed and reduce the overall appearance of the trunk area. Replacing the panel restores the original factory look and helps maintain a clean, protected luggage compartment.
When to replace
• Original panel is warped, damaged, or missing
• Visible deterioration from moisture or age
• Loose or broken mounting points
• During front trunk restoration or refurbishment
• To restore original factory appearance

Porsche 911 1978 - 1989
Diagram ref no 7
This cover conceals and protects the bulkhead area of the luggage compartment, providing a clean trimming surface and helping to reduce noise, vibration or thermal transfer from adjacent structure. It restores the OEM interior finish behind the luggage area and supports mounting points for side panels or carpeted trims.
Original covers often suffer from wear, warping, sagging or damage due to age, exposure to heat, moisture or luggage loads. A compromised cover may detach, rattle, or deteriorate the appearance of the boot/trunk area. Installing a quality replacement restores correct fit, improves aesthetics and region-specific mounting integrity.

OEMatch Dashboard LHD (Restoration) — Fit, Finish, Comfort
The dashboard is the visual and functional centre of a Porsche cockpit for LHD restoration work. It locates instruments, vents and switchgear, conceals wiring and supports trim, so replacing a damaged dash helps restore appearance, usability and the correct mounting for gauges and vents in a finished restoration.
Understanding OEMatch Dashboard LHD (Restoration)
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are made by the same company that produced your Porsche’s original dashboard lhd (restoration).
OE (Original Equipment) refers to parts matching original specifications for the dashboard lhd (restoration) and may be supplied by alternative manufacturers. Aftermarket parts offer alternative options, sometimes with enhanced features or better value. OEMatch supplies non-OEM dashboard lhd (restoration) engineered as direct-fit alternatives to OEM parts, made to original-spec dimensions and tolerances for Porsche models.
A restoration-grade LHD dashboard must align with vents, instrument pods, switches and any airbag modules where fitted, conceal trim fixings and wiring looms, and provide the surface finish and mounting points required for accurate reassembly.
Benefits Include
- Restores interior appearance and the correct layout for instruments, vents and switchgear
- Replaces cracked, faded or delaminated surfaces to renew cabin aesthetics
- Re-establishes structural mounting to reduce noise and ensure secure attachment of trim and devices
Why Dashboard LHD (Restoration) Wear and Fail
- Gradual cracking and colour loss from UV exposure and repeated heat cycles
- Delamination or shrinkage as adhesives and laminates age
- Mechanical damage or weakened internal supports from previous repairs or long-term use
The Importance of Replacing with OEMatch Dashboard LHD (Restoration)
Replacing a worn or damaged dashboard restores the cockpit’s original proportions and supports reliable mounting for instruments and controls, which is important for both appearance and function in a restoration project. Correct fitment helps retain intended wiring routes and maintains compatibility with vents and switch assemblies, reducing the risk of rattles, poor sealing or interference with nearby components.
Advantages
- Direct-fit replacements engineered to match original dimensions and tolerances
- Materials selected to retain shape and finish under typical cabin conditions
- Designed to accept original gauges, vents and trim for straightforward reassembly
Support & Advice
Many owners can fit these at home using basic hand tools. Check alignment and fixing points before removing the old part, protect interior trims, and confirm the correct mounting clips or seals. If you are unsure about hidden fasteners or trim removal techniques, seek professional help.
