This rubber strap set (2 pcs) is manufactured to original Porsche specifications to secure the air cleaner housing on Porsche 911 / 911 S / Carrera 3.0 / 911 SC (1974 – 1983). Each strap replicates the factory design, providing precise elasticity, correct length, and durable retention for a stable, vibration-free air cleaner assembly.
Fits:
Porsche 911 / 911 S 1974–1977
Porsche Carrera 3.0 1976–1977
Porsche 911 SC 1978–1983

These straps firmly hold the air filter housing in place, ensuring proper sealing and alignment. By preventing vibration and air leaks, they help maintain consistent engine airflow, filtration efficiency, and overall performance.
• Includes: 2 × Rubber straps for air cleaner housing
• Position: Engine compartment – air cleaner housing mount
Over time, the original straps can crack, stretch, or lose tension due to constant heat and aging. Worn straps may allow the air box to rattle or leak unfiltered air, reducing efficiency and risking engine wear. Replacing both straps together ensures equal tension and reliable, factory-level security.

This rubber strap is a reproduction of the original Porsche air cleaner mounting strap, used to secure the air filter housing on classic Porsche 911, 911 S, Carrera 3.0, and 911 SC models (1974–1983). Manufactured to factory-correct dimensions and elasticity, it provides the same secure hold, flexibility, and durability as the genuine part.
Sold each, 2 required per vehicle.
Fits:
Porsche 911 / 911 S 1974–1977
Porsche Carrera 3.0 1976–1977
Porsche 911 SC 1978–1983

The rubber strap keeps the air cleaner assembly firmly in place, preventing movement and vibration under engine load. It ensures the air filter housing remains properly sealed to prevent unfiltered air intake and helps maintain optimal engine performance and reliability.
• Position: Engine compartment – air cleaner housing mount
Original rubber straps harden, stretch, or crack over time due to heat exposure and age. A worn or broken strap can cause the air cleaner to loosen or rattle, risking air leaks and reduced engine efficiency. Replacing it with an replacement strap restores a firm, factory-tight fit and ensures continued engine protection and smooth operation.

Prevents costly airbox explosions, installed with the engine and air box in place. 911 engines since 1973 have had the bad habit of backfiring and blowing a hole an the air box. 911 POP VALVE is installed inside the air box and when a backfire occurs the valve will instantly open and release the backfire pressure. The POP VALVE then automatically closes and the angine continues to run. The POP VALVE has no effect on the performance or fuel mileage.

OEMatch Airbox / Housings — Fit, Function, Confidence
OEMatch airboxes and housings for Porsche models are compatible replacements engineered to original-spec dimensions and tolerances — a practical option when genuine or OEM parts are unavailable. OEMatch selects parts to suit Porsche applications and supports selection with catalogue references to help identify the correct item for a specific model and year.
Available Types- 911
- Boxster and Cayman
- Panamera
- Cayenne and Macan
- Transaxle models
OE (Original Equipment) refers to parts matching original specifications for the airboxes and housings and may be supplied by alternative manufacturers. Aftermarket parts offer alternative options, sometimes with enhanced features or better value. OEMatch supplies non-OEM airboxes and housings engineered as direct-fit alternatives to OEM parts, made to original-spec dimensions and tolerances for Porsche models.
The airbox secures the air filter, manages intake airflow and protects the filter from debris, moisture and excessive heat; a compromised housing can allow unfiltered air into the engine or disturb flow consistency.
- Restores sealed filtration to protect the engine from dust and debris.
- Helps maintain consistent airflow for stable combustion and throttle response.
- Replaces worn seals and clips to prevent unmetered air ingress.
- Heat cycling and long-term vibration can crack or warp thermoplastic housings.
- Broken or fatigued clips and seals allow movement and air leaks.
- Impacts, oil contamination or previous repairs can distort or weaken the assembly.
- Direct-fit replacements designed to match original mounting and sealing points.
- Constructed from materials chosen for heat and vibration resistance.
- Catalogue references and part numbers to aid correct selection for Porsche applications.
Support & Advice
These items affect engine air management and installation should be carried out by a qualified technician following model-specific procedures and torque settings. If you plan DIY work, use appropriate clamps, confirm correct routing and inspect adjacent sensors and housings for damage before final assembly.
