Door Glass
By OE Match
- Porsche 914 (1970-1976)
New production of the side window perimeter seal made with a larger fin than the factory to fill the gap between the guide rail and door panel for a cleaner install. NOTE: modification is necessary on the early cars with the metal tab. We recommend removal of the tab as it is not structural and only is one more place for water to enter your door.

Porsche 914 1970 - 1976

OEMatch Door Glass — Fit, Finish, Clarity
OEMatch Door Glass components are compatible replacements engineered to original-spec dimensions and tolerances — a practical option when genuine or OEM parts are unavailable. Door glass seals form a weatherproof barrier around each door window, reducing wind noise, preventing water ingress and protecting interior trim on Porsche models.
Available Types
- Full window run seals
- Outer door glass seals
- Window channel liners and edge trims
Understanding OEMatch Door Glass
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are made by the same company that produced your Porsche’s original door glass.
OE (Original Equipment) refers to parts matching original specifications for the door glass and may be supplied by alternative manufacturers. Aftermarket parts offer alternative options, sometimes with enhanced features or better value. OEMatch supplies non-OEM door glass engineered as direct-fit alternatives to OEM parts, made to original-spec dimensions and tolerances for Porsche models. Door glass seals sit in channels and on runs that guide the glass and maintain a continuous seal between glass and door frame. When seals lose elasticity or distort, water and noise can enter and window movement may be impeded; choosing the correct profile helps retain function and appearance.
Benefits Include
- Restores watertight sealing to prevent moisture damage to carpets and electrics
- Reduces wind noise and vibration for a quieter cabin
- Ensures smooth window movement and protects glass edges from wear
Why Door Glass Wear and Fail
- UV and ozone exposure causing hardening or cracking
- Compression fatigue and loss of sealing elasticity
- Contamination or damage from debris and misaligned windows
The Importance of Replacing with OEMatch Door Glass
Prompt replacement of worn seals prevents water ingress that can damage trim, carpet and electronics and avoids corrosion to internal door structures. Correct seals help maintain climate control efficiency and window alignment on Porsche vehicles while limiting progressive wear to adjacent components.
Advantages
- Suitable for restorations and routine maintenance on Porsche models
- Made from durable rubber compounds resistant to UV and ozone
- Available in profiles that match original runs and channels to preserve function and finish
Support & Advice
Fitting can appear straightforward but may require specific procedures such as correct positioning, sealing detail and careful reassembly to avoid panel damage. If you lack the right tools or experience, or if the vehicle includes hidden fasteners or sensors, seek professional installation. Recheck fasteners and seal compression after initial use.
