OE Match centre dashboard air vent nozzle designed as a replacement for the original factory air vent used in classic Porsche 911 models equipped with air conditioning. It replicates the original vent’s fitment, shape, and louvre function to deliver correct cabin airflow and OEM-style appearance.
The only difference is that this vent does not come with sliders / adjusters on the sides. You can position the louvres by hand though.
Fits:
Porsche 911 1975 - 1986
Porsche 930 Turbo
Porsche 912E
Diagram ref no 10.
This OE Match version is ideal for vehicles where the original centre vent has faded, cracked, failed to hold position, or has missing adjustment tabs - common issues on older cars due to age and sun exposure.
The centre dashboard air vent directs conditioned or ambient air from the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system into the cabin. It lets occupants adjust airflow direction and volume for comfort, defrosting, or ventilation purposes.
Function:
Installed at the centre of the dashboard, this OE Match vent:
• Channels air from the HVAC system into the cabin
• Allows directional adjustment of airflow
• Helps balance cabin temperature and comfort
• Complements original dashboard aesthetics
Centre air vent assemblies endure heat, sunlight, and repeated adjustment, which can cause them to become brittle, cracked, faded, or loose over time. A failing vent can disrupt airflow, reduce cabin comfort, and detract from the interior’s appearance. Replacing it with an OE Match unit restores proper airflow control, eliminates rattles or misalignment, and improves the visual continuity of the dashboard.
When to replace:
• Vent louvers are stuck, broken, or loose
• Dashboard airflow is restricted or misdirected
• Interior trim looks faded or mismatched
• During HVAC servicing or dashboard restoration
• Prior to resale or show preparation

OEMatch Vents / Grilles — Fit, Function, Confidence
For Porsche models, vents and grilles direct and regulate cabin airflow, supporting heating, cooling and demisting while contributing to interior appearance and comfort. OEMatch vents and grilles are compatible replacements engineered to original-spec dimensions and tolerances — a practical option when genuine or OEM parts are unavailable. They restore precise airflow distribution, reduce noise from turbulent flows and maintain a factory-like finish.
Available Types
Dashboard and centre console vents
- Door air outlets and side grilles
- Exterior intake grilles where applicable
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are made by the same company that produced your Porsche’s original vents / grilles.
OE (Original Equipment) refers to parts matching original specifications for the vents / grilles and may be supplied by alternative manufacturers. Aftermarket parts offer alternative options, sometimes with enhanced features or better value. OEMatch supplies non-OEM vents / grilles engineered as direct-fit alternatives to OEM parts, made to original-spec dimensions and tolerances for Porsche models.
Vents and grilles route air from the HVAC unit into the cabin via adjustable louvers and fixed outlets. Typical items are moulded from heat-resistant plastics and include mounting tabs or clips that locate into the dash or door panels. Proper fit and intact sealing prevent air leaks, preserve blower efficiency and ensure even temperature control across seats and glazing. OEMatch maintains a broad Porsche-focused catalogue and continues to develop new product lines to support restorations and routine maintenance.
Benefits Include- Restores correct airflow direction and volume
- Improves demisting and climate response
- Renews interior appearance with matched styling
- UV exposure and heat causing fading or cracking
- Broken or worn louvers and adjustment mechanisms
- Damaged mounting tabs, clips or seals leading to loose fit and air leaks
Replacing worn or damaged vents and grilles restores consistent cabin airflow, reduces the risk of cold or hot spots, and preserves interior aesthetics that matter for Porsche vehicles. Careful inspection of duct seals and mounting points during replacement helps maintain HVAC performance and quiet operation.
Advantages- Direct replacements that match original form and mounting points
- Durable, heat-resistant materials for long service life
- Suitable for restorations and routine repair tasks
Support & Advice
