Designed for the CG225 7-speed PDK transmission, the flange provides the mounting interface between the gearbox and driveshaft. It offers a replacement solution when the existing flange has suffered mechanical wear or damage.
The CG205 transmission requires long flange reference 9G233220905.
Check the vehicle VIN and transmission identification before ordering.
How Does the Flange Work?
The driveshaft flange is fitted to the gearbox output shaft and provides a solid connection for the driveshaft.
When power leaves the PDK transmission, the flange transfers rotational force into the driveshaft, allowing the rear wheels to turn.
Its extended design matches the layout of the CG225 transmission assembly.
Why Might You Need a Replacement?
The flange is a durable mechanical component, but damage can occur through wear, incorrect fitting or problems elsewhere in the drivetrain.
Reasons for replacement include:
- Damaged driveshaft bolt holes or mounting faces
- Worn or damaged splines
- Cracks or distortion in the flange
- Excessive movement at the gearbox output
- Damage discovered during driveshaft removal
What Symptoms Should You Look For?
Problems around the driveshaft connection may produce vibration during acceleration, metallic knocking or unusual drivetrain movement.
These symptoms can also be caused by worn driveshaft joints or transmission mounts, so inspection is recommended before replacing the flange.
Installation & Maintenance
Check the gearbox output shaft, retaining ring, oil seal and driveshaft mounting surfaces for damage.
Ensure the new flange is correctly seated and secured using Porsche's specified installation procedure and tightening values.
Why Choose OE Match?
OE Match offers an aftermarket alternative to the Genuine
Porsche flange, allowing owners and repair specialists to replace the affected
component without purchasing a complete gearbox assembly.
It is a practical option for transmission refurbishment, driveshaft repairs and routine drivetrain maintenance.
