Restore accurate air-fuel mixture monitoring and reliable engine-management operation with this OE Match Lambda Oxygen Sensor. Designed for compatible Porsche applications, these sensors are positioned BEFORE the catalytic converter, where they monitor oxygen levels in the exhaust gases leaving the engine.

Also known as an oxygen sensor, O2 sensor or lambda probe, the pre-catalyst sensor provides the engine control unit (ECU) with important information about combustion mixture. By measuring residual oxygen in the exhaust, the sensor allows the ECU to determine whether the engine is operating richer or leaner than intended and make appropriate fuel corrections.
Accurate lambda feedback contributes to smooth engine operation, efficient fuel consumption, controlled emissions and effective catalytic converter performance.
Lambda sensors operate in an extremely demanding environment. Continuous exposure to high exhaust temperatures, vibration, thermal cycling and combustion deposits can gradually reduce sensor response and accuracy. Internal heater circuits, wiring and connectors can also deteriorate with age.
These OE Match Lambda Oxygen Sensors provide high-quality replacements for slow, contaminated or failed original sensors.
What This Product Does:
- Measures oxygen content in the exhaust gases.
- Is positioned BEFORE the catalytic converter.
- Provides exhaust-mixture information to the ECU.
- Helps the ECU determine whether combustion is running rich or lean.
- Supports closed-loop fuel control.
- Helps maintain the appropriate air-fuel mixture.
- Supports smooth and efficient engine operation.
- Helps maintain consistent throttle response.
- Contributes to fuel efficiency.
- Helps minimise excessive exhaust emissions.
- Supports efficient catalytic converter operation.
- Provides diagnostic information to the engine-management system.
- Replaces a slow, contaminated or failed oxygen sensor.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Check engine or engine-management warning light.
- Lambda or oxygen sensor-related fault codes.
- Rich or lean mixture fault codes.
- Increased fuel consumption.
- Rough or unstable idle.
- Engine hesitation.
- Poor throttle response.
- Reduced engine performance.
- Engine misfires.
- Difficult starting.
- Uneven engine operation.
- Increased exhaust emissions.
- Failed emissions test.
- Stronger-than-normal exhaust or fuel smell.
- Slow or implausible oxygen-sensor readings during diagnostics.
- Intermittent sensor signal.
- Sensor heater circuit faults.
- Damaged electrical wiring.
- Heat-damaged wiring insulation.
- Corroded or damaged electrical connector.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The pre-catalyst lambda sensor has an important role in controlling the engine's air-fuel mixture.
- Once the engine reaches the appropriate operating conditions, the ECU can use oxygen-sensor feedback to continually adjust fuel delivery. This allows the engine-management system to respond to changing operating conditions and maintain the intended combustion mixture.
