What This Product Does
The mounts form a load-bearing connection between the engine and its mounting structure. They accommodate limited powertrain movement as torque changes, rather than allowing the engine to shift freely or transmitting its vibration directly into the body.
Functions
- Carry engine loads at the mounting points.
- Restrain movement during throttle changes.
- Dampen vibration reaching the passenger compartment.
- Help preserve clearance around connected components.

Symptoms of Fault
- Stronger vibration through seats or cabin trim at idle.
- Knocks accompanying acceleration, deceleration or gear engagement.
- Unusually large engine movement during starting or shutdown.
- Mount material showing splits, separation or collapse.
- An uneven engine position or contact with nearby fittings.
Why Replacement Matters
Deteriorated mountings can allow unwanted displacement and transmit additional vibration through the body. Renewing damaged mounts helps return the engine to its intended position and limits strain on attached hoses, wiring and exhaust joints. Inspect brackets and associated fixings during the repair; vibration alone does not establish that a mount has failed.
FAQs
Does this package contain a mounting pair?
Yes. Two mounts and bolts are specified; the diagram references identify separate Left and Right mountings.
Should the transmission mounts also be inspected?
Yes. Wear elsewhere in the supporting system can contribute to similar movement or noise.
Are all Panamera versions covered?
No. Use the detailed applications above and confirm the vehicle specification before selecting this kit.
