Gain back ride quality and rear end stability with High Density Rear Spring Plate Bushings for your 911. Under prolonged use, especially when driven hard, the OEM bushings can break down allowing more slop in the rear suspension. If neglected long enough or driven under heavy load enough, these bushings will eventually deform allowing the spring plate to contact the cover plate. Replacing your factory bushings with our 25% stiffer units will allow full and smooth articulation of the spring plate, thus improving the ride quality and performance of the legendary rear end in your classic 911. Featuring a higher, "sport" durometer these rubber mounts are a great compromise between soft factory mounts and solid/spherical bearings often used to replace them.

OEMatch Spring plates — Control, Stability, Comfort
OEMatch spring plates for Porsche models link the torsion bars to the suspension arms, helping to control ride height, alignment and rear axle geometry. They are chosen for applications where owners wish to maintain predictable handling and consistent suspension behaviour on the road or track.
- Spring plates for torsion-bar Porsche suspension layouts
Understanding OEMatch Spring plates
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are made by the same company that produced your Porsche’s original spring plates. OE (Original Equipment) refers to parts matching original specifications for the spring plates and may be supplied by alternative manufacturers. Aftermarket parts offer alternative options, sometimes with enhanced features or better value. OEMatch supplies non-OEM spring plates engineered as direct-fit alternatives to OEM parts, made to original-spec dimensions and tolerances for Porsche models. Many owners search for genuine or OEM spring plates; these are direct-fit alternatives designed to match the original form, fit and function. On classic Porsche torsion-bar suspension, the spring plate is the interface between the torsion bar and the trailing or semi-trailing arm. Correctly specified plates help preserve the intended geometry, supporting stable handling, predictable cornering and consistent tyre contact with the road surface.
- Help maintain correct static ride height and suspension indexing
- Support consistent wheel alignment and corner balance when set up correctly
- Contribute to stable, predictable handling characteristics for Porsche models
Why Spring plates Wear and Fail
- Long-term exposure to road contamination and moisture leading to corrosion of metal sections and mounting areas
- Repeated load cycles causing fatigue, distortion or elongation of mounting holes over high mileages
- Ageing or deterioration of associated bushes and hardware that can place additional stress on the plate assembly
The Importance of Replacing with OEMatch Spring plates
As Porsche suspension components age, worn or distorted spring plates can contribute to uneven tyre wear, unstable cornering and difficulty achieving a precise alignment. Replacing tired components with correctly specified OEMatch spring plates helps restore the intended rear suspension behaviour and makes it easier for a technician to dial in the alignment figures suited to your usage, whether for fast road or occasional track driving.
Advantages
- Made to original-spec dimensions for consistent positioning of the torsion bar and suspension arm
- Fits original mounting points and clearances on applicable Porsche suspension layouts
- Compatible with factory systems and sensors where used on the relevant suspension configuration
Support & Advice
Fitting can appear straightforward but may require specific procedures such as torque settings, alignment, balancing or recalibration. If you lack the correct tools or experience, we recommend professional installation. Recheck fasteners after initial mileage.
