The rear spring plate eccentric bolt is used within the rear suspension assembly to allow adjustment of suspension geometry. It helps set and maintain correct rear wheel alignment, contributing to stable handling, even tyre wear, and predictable suspension performance.
Functions
• Replaces the rear spring plate eccentric bolt
• Supports rear suspension alignment adjustment
• Helps set rear wheel geometry
• Assists with camber and/or toe adjustment depending on application
• Helps maintain stable handling and road feel
• Replaces seized, worn, corroded, rounded, or damaged eccentric bolts
• OE Match replacement for suspension repair, alignment, or restoration.
Why Replace This Part?
Rear spring plate eccentric bolts can corrode, seize, wear, become rounded, or suffer thread damage due to age, road dirt, moisture, and previous alignment work. A damaged or seized eccentric bolt can make accurate rear suspension adjustment difficult or impossible. Replacing the bolt helps restore proper adjustability and supports correct wheel alignment.
When to Replace This Part
• Rear suspension alignment cannot be adjusted correctly
• The eccentric bolt is seized, rusty, worn, or damaged
• The bolt head or eccentric section is rounded or distorted
• Rear spring plates or suspension arms are being removed
• Rear suspension bushes or related components are being replaced
• Uneven tyre wear or poor rear alignment is present
• The vehicle is undergoing Porsche suspension restoration.
Where it fits on the car
This eccentric bolt fits within the rear spring plate / rear suspension adjustment area on Porsche 911, 924, 944, and 968 models. It is used as part of the suspension alignment adjustment system

OEM Spec Spring Plate Bushings
A true OEM spec bushing replacement for spring plates.
Spring plate bushing condition can be accessed by looking at the hole is the spring plate cover. It should be concentric around the spring plate. When the bushings deform, the cover becomes non-concentric around the spring plate and in extreme cases actually contacts the cover plate – metal-to-metal.
More than just bushings, this is a full kit that includes inner and outer bushings (4 pcs), adhesive, instructions and abrasive cloth to prep the surface.
Restore Ride and Performance
Rubber is the choice if you want to restore factory ride and performance in a zero-maintenance solution.

Manufactured from high-quality, wear-resistant material, the solid bushing is engineered to withstand heavy suspension loads, repeated articulation, road impacts and exposure to oil, moisture and road contaminants. Precision-machined for direct OE-style fitment, it restores the secure location of the spring plate and helps maintain consistent rear suspension performance.
What This Product Does:
- Secures the rear spring plate to the suspension mounting point.
- Maintains accurate rear suspension geometry.
- Reduces unwanted suspension movement and deflection.
- Improves handling precision and vehicle stability.
- Supports consistent wheel alignment.
- Helps optimise suspension response during acceleration, braking and cornering.
- Reduces excessive movement under load.
- Forms an essential part of the rear suspension system.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Knocking or clunking noises from the rear suspension.
- Excessive rear suspension movement.
- Poor handling or reduced cornering stability.
- Uneven or accelerated rear tyre wear.
- Rear wheel alignment drifting out of specification.
- Vague or inconsistent steering feel.
- Visible cracking, deformation or deterioration of the bushing.
- Rear suspension movement during braking or acceleration.
- Increased vibration transmitted through the chassis.
- MOT or vehicle inspection failure due to worn suspension bushes.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The spring plate bushing is subjected to continuous suspension movement, heavy cornering loads, braking forces and exposure to road debris, moisture and temperature fluctuations. Over time, the original bushing can wear, compress or deteriorate, allowing excessive movement within the rear suspension.
- A worn spring plate bushing can negatively affect wheel alignment, handling precision and tyre wear while placing additional strain on surrounding suspension components. Excessive movement may also reduce vehicle stability and driver confidence, particularly during spirited driving or high-speed cornering.
- Replacing a worn spring plate bushing restores the correct positioning of the rear suspension and improves chassis control. The OE Match solid bushing provides factory-style fitment, exceptional durability and reduced suspension deflection, helping to deliver sharper handling, improved stability and the precise driving characteristics expected from your Porsche.

OEMatch Spring Plate — Fit, Function, Confidence
Spring plates form a key part of the rear suspension on many Porsche models, linking torsion bars to trailing arms to control ride height, preserve alignment and manage suspension travel under load. OEMatch focuses on Porsche applications and catalogues over 4,000 part numbers and extensive cross-references to support repairs and restorations.
Understanding OEMatch Spring Plate
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are made by the same company that produced your Porsche’s original spring plate.
OE (Original Equipment) refers to parts matching original specifications for the spring plate and may be supplied by alternative manufacturers. Aftermarket parts offer alternative options, sometimes with enhanced features or better value. OEMatch supplies non-OEM spring plate engineered as direct-fit alternatives to OEM parts, made to original-spec dimensions and tolerances for Porsche models. In operation, a spring plate provides a pivot between torsion bar and trailing arm, helps maintain rear wheel alignment as the suspension moves, and contributes to stable ride height and handling balance. Plates are typically formed from high-strength steel or alloys and use bushes or bearings at mounting points to control movement.
Benefits Include
- Restores correct rear suspension geometry and alignment for consistent handling.
- Maintains ride height and reduces unwanted rear-end movement under load.
- Available in fixed and adjustable designs to suit restoration, service or performance use.
Why Spring Plate Wear and Fail
- Corrosion and rust that weaken the plate or mounting surfaces.
- Worn bushes or mounts producing excess play and vibration.
- Fatigue cracks from repeated torsional stress.
- Impact damage from road hazards or improper installation.
The Importance of Replacing with OEMatch Spring Plate
Replacing worn or damaged spring plates restores suspension geometry and alignment accuracy, reduces vibration and noise, and helps retain predictable handling on road and track. Proper replacement also protects related components such as trailing arms and torsion bars by removing excessive movement and restoring specified clearances, which supports safe and reliable vehicle behaviour.
Advantages
- Direct-fit replacements engineered to match original dimensions and tolerances for Porsche models.
- Adjustable and performance variants available where correct ride-height or alignment tuning is required.
- Suitable for classic restorations, routine servicing and track-focused preparations.
