What This Product Does
The rubber sleeve forms a flexible, sealed connection within the inlet manifold assembly. Maintaining this joint helps prevent unwanted air entering through a damaged connection.
Functions
- Connects adjoining intake components.
- Seals the inlet connection against air leakage.
Technical Details
- Part reference: 91111088502
- Brand: OE Match.
- Construction: rubber sleeve.
- Fuel injection application: K-Jetronic.
- Diagram engine/model designation: 911/911S.
- Vehicle requirement: six sleeves; this does not indicate a six-piece pack.
Symptoms of Fault
Inspect the sleeve for splits, hardening or damage around its connections. An intake leak may accompany an uneven idle, hesitation, stalling or a hissing sound. These symptoms can have other causes, so confirm the source before replacing parts.
Why Replacement Matters
Renewing a deteriorated sleeve addresses a potential air-leak path in the intake assembly. Check the adjoining connections and clamps during installation, as worn supporting components can leave the joint improperly sealed.
FAQs
How many sleeves does the car require?
Six are required per vehicle. The required quantity is not a statement of pack contents.
What should be checked before fitting?
Confirm the vehicle's injection system and part reference, then inspect the mating surfaces and clamps.
How can an intake leak be investigated?
Visual inspection and an intake smoke test can help locate a leaking connection.
