• Position on Vehicle: Rear axle, lower control arm (support link) that positions and controls the rear wheel hub/wheel carrier relative to the chassis sub-frame.
• Applications: Recommended when the original control arm is bent, corroded, has worn bushings/joints or when you’re renewing the rear suspension to restore handling performance and tyre wear.
The rear lower control arm is a key component in maintaining wheel alignment, suspension stability and tyre contact consistency. A failing or compromised arm can cause poor handling, uneven tyre wear, rear-end instability, and alignment drift. Replacing helps restore original ride and handling precision.
When and why to replace:
• You experience clunks or knocking from the rear when going over bumps or during cornering.
