Why replace the wishbone?
Worn bushings or a failing ball joint introduce free play — the car feels vague under braking/cornering and can develop a shimmy.Corrosion, impact damage or bending (kerb or track incidents) will change suspension geometry and lead to rapid/uneven tyre wear.Old arms allow unwanted deflection; replacing them restores factory kinematics and improves driver feedback, especially important on lowered or high-mile 993s.
Common issues / failure modes
