This OE Match rear shock absorber supporting top mount is a direct replacement for the original Porsche component fitted to 997-generation 911 models equipped with standard suspension/chassis option I029. Installed at the upper mounting point of the rear suspension strut assembly, it secures the shock absorber to the vehicle body while providing controlled flexibility and vibration damping. This is suitable for both left and right rear applications and is commonly replaced during rear shock absorber servicing or suspension overhaul work.
Typically 2 required per vehicle, sold individually.
Fits:
For Cars with Standard Chassis (I029)
Porsche 997 C2 / C4 MKI 2005 - 2008 CABRIO

The rear top mount secures the upper section of the shock absorber assembly to the chassis while cushioning suspension movement. It helps absorb vibration and impacts from the road, contributing to ride comfort, stability, and proper suspension performance.
Function
• Secures rear shock absorber to vehicle chassis
• Absorbs vibration and road impacts
• Maintains proper suspension alignment and geometry
• Reduces suspension noise and harshness
• Supports smooth and controlled suspension movement
Over time, the rubber isolator inside the top mount can deteriorate due to age, suspension load, and road conditions. Worn mounts may cause knocking noises, excessive suspension movement, vibration, or reduced handling precision. Replacing worn top mounts restores suspension stability, improves ride comfort, and helps maintain proper shock absorber performance.
When to replace
• Knocking or clunking noises from rear suspension
• Excessive vibration or harsh ride quality
• Visible cracking or deterioration of rubber mount
• Uneven suspension movement or instability
• During rear shock absorber replacement or suspension overhaul

The shock mount plays a key role in keeping your ride smooth and quiet. It absorbs road noise and vibration while securely holding the shock in place. Over time, shock mounts naturally wear out, which can lead to clunking sounds, vibration, or reduced ride comfort.
For best results, we recommend replacing the shock mounts whenever you install new shocks to prevent premature wear. This kit includes everything you need to replace both faulty shock mounts and restore proper suspension performance.

The rear shock absorber rubber boot protect the rear damper shaft on Porsche Macan (95B) models. This flexible dust cover shields the shock absorber’s piston rod from dirt, moisture, and road debris, preventing premature wear of the internal seals and ensuring long-lasting suspension performance.
Sold each, 2 required per vehicle, one for each side.
Fits:
Cars with standard suspension
Porsche 95B.1 Macan 2014 - 2018
Porsche 95B.2 Macan 2019 - 2021
Porsche 95B.3 Macan 2021 - 2024
Diagram ref no 6
Over time, factory boots can crack or tear due to age, heat, and exposure to road contaminants - leaving the damper shaft unprotected. Installing an replacement preserves the integrity of the rear suspension system and helps extend the life of the shock absorbers.
A damaged or missing rubber boot can lead to:
• Contaminants entering the damper seal area
• Premature shock absorber wear or leaking
• Reduced ride quality and vibration control
• Shortened suspension component lifespan
Replacing the boot protects the damper from environmental wear and keeps the rear suspension operating smoothly.
