The injectors deliver a fine, metered spray of fuel into the intake port (or manifold) synchronized with engine control signals (pulse width). Common failure modes / issues
Clogging or partial occlusion
Deposits from fuel (e.g. varnish, gums, carbon) can accumulate on the injector nozzle or internal filter screens, restricting flow or altering spray pattern. This leads to inconsistent fuel delivery, lean condition on one cylinder, misfires, or rough idle.
Leaking (internal or external)
