Lambda oxygen sensor. Porsche Boxster 986 >>2002 USA SPEC ❭ 98660612701
- Porsche Boxster 986 2.5L 1997-99
- Porsche Boxster 986 2.7L 1999-02
- Porsche Boxster S 986 3.2L 1999-02
Fits
Porsche Boxster 986 >>2002 USA Spec (BEFORE Catalyst)
Function:
The Oxygen Sensor (also known as Lambda Sensor) is located in the exhaust manifold and measures the amount of unburned oxygen in your engine's exhaust. Based on the amount of oxygen, it sends a signal to your engine computer which then adjusts the air/fuel mixture for optimum engine performance and emission control.
Failure Symptoms:
Excessive fuel consumption, a faulty oxygen sensor can waste 30% of your fuel.
Driveability problems, such as engine surging or hesitation.
High hydrocarbon emissions, failing an emissions inspection.
The engine warning light may be on or service flag displayed.
The ecu/computer stores a mixture-related fault code.
When the oxygen sensor has stopped functioning completely, the catalytic converter may overheat and fail
Maintenance/Service:
Test and/or replace every 30,000 miles.
Perform periodic emission checks.
Watch for service light.
Vehicle manufacturers recommend periodic inspection and replacement of oxygen sensor.

- Porsche 95B.1 Macan Petrol 2.0L (237Bhp) 2014-18
The OE MATCH Lambda Sensor, After Catalytic Converter is an OEM-quality emissions control sensor designed to monitor the oxygen content of exhaust gases after they have passed through the catalytic converter. Commonly referred to as a post-catalyst oxygen sensor, it provides vital feedback to the engine control unit (ECU) regarding catalytic converter efficiency and overall emissions system performance.
Fits:
- Porsche 95B.1 Macan Petrol 2.0L (237Bhp) 2014-18
Diagram Ref No 6
Located downstream of the catalytic converter, the OE MATCH sensor continuously measures residual oxygen levels in the exhaust stream. This allows the ECU to evaluate catalyst effectiveness, detect emissions-related faults, and ensure the vehicle operates within manufacturer emissions specifications. It delivers accurate readings, reliable performance, and long service life.
What This Product Does:
- Monitors oxygen levels in exhaust gases after the catalytic converter
- Measures catalytic converter efficiency and performance
- Provides real-time data to the engine control unit (ECU)
- Supports emissions control system diagnostics and monitoring
- Helps maintain compliance with emissions regulations
- Assists in identifying catalyst and exhaust system faults
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Check engine light illumination
- Catalytic converter efficiency fault codes
- Failed emissions or MOT tests
- Increased exhaust emissions
- Oxygen sensor-related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
- Engine management warning messages
- Incorrect catalytic converter monitoring data
- Potential reduction in fuel economy in some applications
Why Replacement Matters:
- Restores precise exhaust oxygen monitoring
- Ensures accurate catalytic converter efficiency assessment
- Helps maintain emissions compliance and MOT readiness
- Prevents persistent engine management warning lights
- Supports correct operation of the emissions control system
- Allows early detection of catalyst and exhaust-related issues
- Reduces harmful exhaust emissions
- Maintains long-term reliability of the engine management and emissions systems

- Porsche 95B.1 Macan Petrol 2.0L (237Bhp) 2014-18
Restore accurate exhaust-gas monitoring and dependable engine-management operation with this OE Match Lambda Probe for Turbocharger. Designed for compatible turbocharged Porsche applications, this lambda probe monitors oxygen content within the exhaust gases and supplies this information to the engine control unit (ECU).
Fits:
- Porsche 95B.1 Macan Petrol 2.0L (237Bhp) 2014-18
Diagram Ref No 13
Also known as an oxygen sensor, O2 sensor or lambda sensor, the probe operates within the high-temperature turbocharger and exhaust environment. Accurate lambda information helps the engine-management system monitor combustion conditions, manage fuelling where applicable and maintain effective emissions-system operation.
Turbocharged engines place particularly high demands on exhaust-system sensors. Extreme temperatures, vibration, rapid thermal cycling and combustion deposits can gradually cause a lambda probe to become contaminated, slow to respond or electrically defective.
A deteriorating sensor may continue to produce a signal while no longer responding accurately enough for reliable engine management. The internal heater circuit, wiring and electrical connector can also suffer from age and prolonged heat exposure.
This OE Match Lambda Probe provides a high-quality replacement for a confirmed faulty, contaminated or slow-response sensor.
What This Product Does:
- Measures oxygen content within the exhaust gases.
- Sends exhaust-condition information to the ECU.
- Helps the engine-management system monitor combustion.
- Supports accurate air-fuel mixture management where applicable.
- Helps identify rich or lean operating conditions.
- Supports efficient turbocharged engine operation.
- Helps maintain controlled exhaust emissions.
- Provides information for onboard diagnostics.
- Supports correct emissions-system operation.
- Helps protect exhaust and catalyst components from incorrect running conditions.
- Operates within the high-temperature turbocharger/exhaust environment.
- Replaces a slow, contaminated, inaccurate or failed lambda probe.
- Provides a Porsche replacement component for compatible applications.
- Check engine or engine-management warning light.
- Lambda or oxygen-sensor diagnostic fault codes.
- Rich or lean mixture fault codes.
- Increased fuel consumption.
- Rough or unstable idle.
- Engine hesitation.
- Poor throttle response.
- Reduced engine performance.
- Inconsistent power delivery.
- Engine misfires.
- Increased exhaust emissions.
- Failed emissions test.
- Strong fuel smell from the exhaust.
- Slow lambda response during diagnostic testing.
- Implausible oxygen-sensor readings.
- Intermittent sensor signals.
- Lambda sensor heater circuit faults.
- Damaged or heat-affected wiring.
- Corroded or damaged electrical connectors.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The lambda probe provides the ECU with important information about conditions within the exhaust system.
- A sensor does not always fail suddenly. As it deteriorates, it may continue generating a signal but become increasingly slow or inaccurate.
