The washer pump grommet provides stable support and isolation for the windscreen washer pump. It helps maintain a proper seal around the pump housing, preventing washer fluid leaks, reducing vibration and noise, and ensuring the pump operates reliably.
The original rubber grommet can become hardened, cracked, or brittle with age and exposure to heat, fluids, and ozone. A degraded seal may allow washer fluid to leak, introduce contaminants into the washer reservoir or bodywork, and cause pump vibration or noise. Replacing it with an OE Match grommet restores a tight, flexible seal and improves washer system reliability and quiet operation - especially important on older Porsche vehicles where original components are no longer supple.
When to replace:
• Washer fluid leaks at the pump mounting point
• Grommet feels cracked, stiff, or swollen
• Washer system is noisy or vibrates excessively
• During washer pump replacement or bodywork restoration
