What This Product Does
Engine mounts connect the engine assembly to the vehicle structure while isolating vibration that could otherwise pass into the body and cabin. They also control movement as torque loads change during acceleration, deceleration and gear changes.
Functions
- Supports and positions the engine within the chassis
- Controls movement under changing drivetrain loads
- Helps isolate engine vibration from the body
- Maintains suitable alignment with connected drivetrain components
- Reduces unnecessary strain on exhaust joints, hoses and wiring
Technical Details
- Brand: OE Match
- Part type: engine mounting
- Left reference: 96537504900
- Right reference: 96537505000
- Left and right mounts use separate references; confirm the required side before ordering
Symptoms of Fault
- Increased vibration inside the cabin, particularly at idle
- Clunking or thumping when engaging gear or changing throttle position
- Excessive engine movement during inspection
- Drivetrain shunt during acceleration or deceleration
- Exhaust contact or knocking caused by additional movement
- Visible sagging, cracking or deterioration of the existing mount
Why Replacement Matters
A worn engine mount may no longer control the drivetrain effectively, allowing vibration and movement to increase. Renewing the affected mount can restore more secure engine location and reduce stress on nearby hoses, wiring, brackets and exhaust connections. OE Match components are catalogued against OE references to assist with selecting the correct application and side.
FAQs
- Will replacement reduce vibration?
If deteriorated mounts are causing additional vibration, fitting the correct replacements can help restore normal isolation and engine support. - Should both mounts be inspected?
Yes. The mounts operate together, so the opposite side and associated fixings should be checked for wear during installation. - How do I confirm the correct version?
Check the Porsche model, body style, year, required side and OE reference before ordering.

Engineered as a direct replacement for failed or faulty PADM sensors, this upgraded unit incorporates several significant improvements over the original design to provide enhanced durability, reliability, and long-term performance.
Featuring a mechanically pinned internal chip, CNC-machined aluminium housing, and OEM-level calibration, this sensor is designed to withstand the harsh operating conditions found in high-performance Porsche applications while delivering factory-level signal accuracy.
Unlike conventional sensors that rely on adhesive bonding, the internal sensing chip is mechanically secured to improve resistance to vibration, temperature fluctuations, and long-term fatigue. The precision-machined aluminium housing further enhances heat resistance, pressure resistance, and overall structural integrity.
Designed as a true plug-and-play solution, installation requires no coding, software calibration, or specialist programming. Simply install the sensor and restore correct PADM operation.
This upgraded sensor has undergone extensive testing across multiple Porsche applications to ensure OEM-level performance and reliable communication with the vehicle's PADM control system.
