It absorbs vibration and road shock through its integrated bushings, helping to deliver smooth ride quality and sharp steering response. By keeping the wheel carrier securely located, it ensures predictable braking, stable cornering, and the refined handling expected from a Porsche. Replacing the arm restores proper suspension behaviour when the original bushings or joints have worn out.
Over time, the control arm and its bushings can wear, crack, or develop excessive play, which negatively affects steering accuracy and suspension stability.
